"For me, the music video is the throbbing heart of the album project... I will write my music, my lyrics with the visuals in mind... often times whilst doing something mundane, like washing dishes at the sink.. I will see the story as I hear the music. The story further dictates the words, music and accompanying art, from the text and titles, to the photography, and the cinematic elements of the music video/short film. For me, it's a big part of the creative process, even if the video never gets made. A very real possibility, as I'm almost always too ambitious fro my own good! Fuel is a great example of that. It's the "weird kid" on the album, and as I wrote it, I could see it in my mind as a victorian revenge drama. So... that's what we made. On a VERY tight budget. It's Kate Bush Country meets Downton Abbey... Throw in a ghost, as the haunted heart of the household, and voila! "

 

Fuel won BEST ORIGINAL SONG at FLORENCE FILM AWARDS, and the longer edit short film JOSEPHINE won BEST FANTASY at TOP SHORTS FILM FESTIVAL.
